Brace adjustment today! We still love Amy’s brace. That soft plastic is DIVINE! But, it’s digging into her knee a little on the inside. So, here we are. The decision was to cut about a 1/2 inch off the top, so it’s truly below her knee. We also chose to remove the Velcro on the front of her brace – it made it really difficult to tighten it.
Amy is lucky that she (at this moment) has legs that are nearly the same length- despite the bow in her leg. Unfortunately, with the bulk of her brace, her GOOD leg is too short! So, we’ve added a lift to her shoe on the good side to even her out and to make her more comfortable.
And now? Off and running!
