So, I decided to do it. I’m acting against doctor’s orders. Because, rebel. I’ve been thinking about this since I posted Tuesday, and I finally decided to do it. Why the hell not?

So, here’s the deal. Amy has an Exogen Bone Stimulation System, right? It has an unlimited number of charges- though a limited amount of gel. I’m supposed to place the transducer directly on top of where the graft is sewn/bonded to the tibia. Here’s a pic of Amy doing her treatment:

Since then, I’ve learned that the treatment area is 3 inches in diameter, with the transducer at the center.

Cool.

Anyways, at this area, bone grown is supposed to be encouraged, in this area, right?

But, what if we did more? Bone is also forming here:

Why not stimulate it too? So that’s what we’re working on. Double Treatment, 20 minuets in one area, then 20 more in another. We’ll see in 6 months if that doesn’t help! ❤️

In the meantime, she fell asleep??

Dr. Hoffinger says it’s unnecessary, but I say go for it. Get hopping little girl!!! You have new bone to make!
