So, I got a phone call today, and Amy has been officially accepted for care at the Shriner’s Hospital, which is wonderful.  But, her appointment is set for 9/2, which is more than 6 weeks away.  So that’s a bummer.  Additionally, she is being seen for “leg pain” which makes absolutely no sense to me.

1.  She’s not in pain.

2.  This just seems like a gross underclassification to me.  🙁

Anyways, the girl who I spoke to, she said that if we could get records showing that Amy is casted, that we may be able to be seen sooner.  In the meantime, we have our local ortho appointment on 8/8 to have her cast removed, and a new one put on.

As for who we will see, or what will be done, or any of that, I have no idea.  Apparently, I’ll be receiving a packet in the mail containing more info.  Hopefully, it will arrive soon.

Update: After several phone calls, I found out there was a cancellation NEXT FRIDAY, and they offered it to us!  It will be a consultation appointment, and then we will go from there.  YES!!!!

Dr. Vendant Kulkarni is going to be her doctor, so I’m going to research the heck out of this guy.  I’m so relieved!
