Today was a fun day. We got Amy and her best friend together to see a movie at the theater. Amy has never been to one before. We saw Peter Rabbit, and the kids were all so good! They loved it a lot. Amy and her little friend were so excited to see it. Here’s a picture of both of them, Amy’s special leg is the left, and Salome’s special leg is the right.
Salome has already had 3 surgeries on her special leg, so it was nice to have someone who understands what Amy is about to go through. It’s also nice to spend time with her mom, who knows what it’s like to wring her hands while the operation is happening.
Her mother also had a special surprise for Amy, a super cape and matching mask, because Amy is her very own super hero.
