So, we drive 1.5 to 3 hours (depending on traffic) to get to Diablo Prosthetics and Orthotics.  After taking a three trips out to solve our brace issue, they took pity on us and came to our house.  (OMG, that is so nice!) Then he handed me this brace, and i just sat back in SHOCK. I asked him, “Where’s the rest of it?”

TOO LOW.  TOO OPEN!

I’m freaking out here people!!!

Update: I heard back from Dr. Hoffinger.  I’m not supposed to use this brace, but stick with brace #2.  Thankfully, she’s pretty comfortable in her brace now.  Oh, and by the way, it’s broken now too.  Lord…  But since she’s not in pain, we’re going to roll with it until next month.  Then we’ll make a new plan at our regularly scheduled appointment.
