New brace today! She’s getting brace #3. (The last #3 doesn’t count IMHO.) Mallory is adding ventilation holes, a non-slip foot, flaring out the top, and trimming the straps. 
Her new brace is so pretty! It’s also made of a much thicker, softer, plastic. I really like it, but she isn’t much of a fan though. Mallory says it’s probably because it’s a lot stiffer. But, she’ll break it in, just like any shoe.
And speaking of shoes…. Her shoe doesn’t fit. ? Guess we need to go shopping. *sigh* Shoe shopping is no fun with braces!
But look at her brace! It’s GORGEOUS!
When you have braces, shoe shopping is only enjoyed by masochists. We tried on every pair of Champion shoes in the store in her size – nothing fit well. She begged and begged and begged for the Minnie Mouse shoes… but I knew they would never fit. But guess who was wrong??? These shoes are even the same size, if you can believe that! But her brace foot is all bulgy and gross.
Know what to do in that case? Shoe surgery! After I paid for the shoes, I ripped out the insole, cut off the tongue, and snipped off the elastic straps.
They look pretty good! A little mismatchy, but they look cute. Amy’s opinion?
