Update:
It’s been a rough weekend- I managed to wrench my back on top of everything else. Good news: no break! Bad news: still in pain. 🙁 She’s able to walk again, so that’s positive, and her limp has pretty much gone back to normal- but she’s insisting on having her brace Read more…
Brace #4
Brace Delivery day, and hey! It looks pretty good from the front. This one has a new design, with the top piece only covering the shin- not the whole leg like we’re used to. It also goes on the outside of the main piece, rather than the inside- another change. Read more…
A Fall with No Brace!

Our Version of Success
I want to talk about “success”. If our definition of “success” is maximum function with minimum pain, then today, we still have it! Amy is 2.5 years old, and it has been 8 months since our diagnosis. Despite the original warning that her tibia would break within the year, there Read more…
A New Orthotist?
Okay, here we go! Next orthotist up on the block, please, please, please be a good one! This is the first time we’re meeting Mallory. I’m amazed at how she put Amy at ease right away, not many are able to do that. First we played 20 questions. She asked Read more…
